About Us

The most important element in determining the quality of a veterinary hospital and luxury pet boarding facility is the experience and level of personal care provided by its staff and veterinarians. Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital and A Home Away From Home – Luxury Pet Boarding employs the most experienced and caring employees in Pensacola, Florida. Each of our employees has ample experience in animal care giving and participate in continuing education every Wednesday from noon to 1:00 pm.

Community Service

Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital and A Home Away From Home Luxury Pet Boarding are very active in our community. We work with rescue groups providing services and treatments for abandoned pets through Schnauzer Love Rescue, Hotel for Dogs and Cats, and the Humane Society of Pensacola. In 2009 we conducted a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Pensacola and raised over $6250. We sponsor 5 free mammograms through Baptist Health Care Foundation each year for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

We provide funds, time, and services to many community groups including: Ronald McDonald House – Kapps for Kids, Leaning Post Ranch, Hospice – Covenant House, Southeastern Diabetes Education Services, American Cancer Society – Relay for Life, YMCA – Jingle Bell 5K, United Cerebral Palsy, Ballet Pensacola, Bill Bond Baseball, Ensley Blue Midget Football Team, N B Cook Elementary School, East Hill Christian School, Pensacola Catholic High School, Brown Barge Middle School, Workmens Middle School, Scenic Heights Elementary School, B T Washington High School, West Florida High School, Alethea Christian School, Episcopal Day School, Cokesbury Methodist Pre-K, Creative Learning Academy, and Trinitas Christian School, just to name a few.

Our Team

Dr. Liz Tringas is a native of Pensacola, Florida and received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology from the University of Florida in 2009.  Being the die-hard Gator fan that she is, Dr. Liz continued her schooling at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2015.  She has been a part of the Spanish Trail Team for 10 years and worked closely with her mentors Drs. Kim and Eric Lovell.  She purchased the clinic in 2016.  Dr Liz has a special interest in internal medicine, oncology and preventative care.  She enjoys the beach, cooking, exercising, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Liz Tringas

Dr. Day graduated from the University of Georgia College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After graduating she worked for a local small animal practice in Atlanta. She moved to Pensacola in mid-2016 where she filled our associate veterinary position here at Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital. In her free time she enjoys many activities such as hiking, cross-fit, doing yoga, and of course the beautiful beaches that surround the area. She has three rescue fur babies, Tanner a lovable mixed breed pup, and two cats Pearl and Annie. She has special interest in feline medicine and dentistry. Dr. Shannon Day

Dr. Eleanore Armani has dedicated herself to the field of veterinary medicine for nearly 20 years.  Starting as a kennel assistant in 1997, she worked to achieve a life-long goal of becoming a veterinarian.  In 2005 she graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine with honors, after which she was awarded an internship in small-animal medicine and surgery in Albuquerque, NM where she developed a love of outdoors, camping and hiking.  In 2006 Dr. Armani returned home to the Gulf Coast and spent the next 6 years at a busy small-animal practice in uptown New Orleans.  In 2012 she moved back to Pensacola to be close to her family and to enjoy all that the Emerald Coast has to offer.  She and her husband Trey, son Alex and daughter Abby share a house with 3 rescue dogs: Livvy, Elwood and Target and 3 cats: Steve, Burt and Babs. She has a special interest in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, feline medicine, dentistry, and is driven to practice at the highest level available to her patients.  In her free time, she enjoys cooking and eating fine food, playing the piano and spending time with her family.

Dr. Eleanore Armani

Ben joined the Spanish Trail team in 2018 and brings a great deal of knowledge to the hospital. He graduated from the Pensacola State College Veterinary Technology program in 2017. Ben has 2 Welsh Corgis named Lexie and Xander. 

Brittney joined Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital after moving to Pensacola from New Jersey. She holds her certification as a veterinary technician and the experience and expertise she brings to Spanish Trail is absolutely amazing.

Jessica is new to the Pensacola area but has 4 years of experience in the veterinary field. She graduated from the Platt College Veterinary Technology in 2017.  She has a beautiful Shepherd named Bentley.

Tiffany graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2007 with her veterinary technician degree. She relocated to Gainesville, FL to work at the UF Vet Hospital for most of her career. She joined the Spanish Trail team in 2020 after moving to the area to be closer to family.

Tacha has been with Spanish Trail since 2007, and has been loving and caring for boarding pets ever since. She genuinely loves her job as it shows in the work she does and always ensures the greatest quality of care for all the pets.

 

Pam has been with the clinic since 2006. She was made the clinic manager in 2012 and has worked hard to maintain a level of excellence for the clinic in every aspect.

Diana joined the Spanish Trail team in 2015, relocating here from Arizona. She brings years of experience from Arizona and is a very experienced technician.

Lorrie became a receptionist with Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital in 2013. She previously worked as a veterinary receptionist for 7 years in Miami, Florida. Her amazing day to day attitude around the office is one that everyone remembers, as she continuously cares for clients and patients.

Tony has been with Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital since 1999. He is a veteran of the US Navy and spent 4 years on the Dwight D Eisenhower aircraft carrier. Tony graduated from the University of West Florida with a BA in Psychology.

 

Paul joined Spanish Trail in 2018. He is originally from Columbus, OH and is retired from the United States Air Force. Paul has an Australian Shepherd named Sparrow and loves to travel to the Great Smoky Mountains any chance he gets.

Jessica recently moved to the Pensacola area from Colorado and brings with her over 10 years of veterinary experience. Jessica has 3 dogs and 4 cats of her own and is a lover of all animals!

Kelly was born and raised in Pensacola. She joined Spanish Trail in 2019, bringing a happy, warm and inviting personality. Kelly enjoys playing tennis in her free time. She has 2 dogs named Ara and Bella.

Sydney joined our reception team in late 2020 and has been a wonderful addition. Her knowledge of the veterinary field and  compassion for animals and humans help our clients have the best experience possible.
